Has anyone had experience with theseso called”internet credit repair” copanies and if so does this sorta thing really work to boost your credit and can the things they claim they can get off your credit eventually re appear? What companies would you suggest? Thanks

to be honest. it’s cheaper and fast to actually pull your own credit report and do it yourself.

take care of the little items first, pay them off whole.

if you have other debt over a few thousands, negotiate a lower price and make montly payments that way they can send in notification to the agencies that you are paying.

it can take you about 3-6 months to do this. the same amount of time one of those companies can do it and they charge an arm and a leg, sometimes other body parts, too.

Lots of companies claim they can fix your credit. How exactly does it work?

I know how to get stuff that shouldn’t be on your credit off, but they claim they can get legitimate debt off your credit report as well. That’s what I don’t get.

No one can get legitimate debt off your report. Or legitimate late marks, or defaults. What they often due is just contest everything, hoping some stuff comes off…
